About the client
Master's Union is a Edtech platform that provides cohort based courses online. Their main motive is to provide offline learning experience same as online to it's students.
Team
Total 3 designers (including a lead designer) were leading UX of the project and a separate visual designer for setting up design language/ illustrations and other visuals.
The Brief
Master's Union needed a mobile application that acts as a learning platform for students. Following pointers were kept in mind while designing the app-
App is for all in-course, pre and post course students
Focus was for in-course students experience i.e. to provide all details related to classes schedule, reminders, assignments, tests, networking, any updates etc.
App should adhere to brand's visions that was, Online course with offline experience for students
Now that we knew what client wanted, we dived deeper into market research and what users (students) are actually looking for in the app

Pain points they were facing during course
Gaps between what management wanted students to gain from course and what students were in reality getting

Note - There were other users too for this app (eg teachers/ program manager etc). however for this case study I am focusing only on students.
With the must have features in hand and enough data in hand from what in course users wanted, we started ideation on in course app designs for students.

This is just a small snapshot of an entire IA. After some tree testing with students and discussions with stakeholders complete IA was prepared for all three students usecases. (Pre course, In course, Post course)
